Prayground

Kids and parents can hang out in the back of the Sanctuary during worship at our Prayground.

Nursery

Unless otherwise noted, LMC provides a staffed nursery each Sunday for children ages 5 and under.

Sunday School

At LMC, Sunday School is one of the places where our children learn that they are deeply loved by God and that our faith shapes how we live in the world.

Our theme for Sunday School this year is "Love Thy Neighbor." This will look different in every classroom, but our goal in having a theme is to unite all our classes and families under something that can be easily referred back to. Who is our neighbor? How do we show them love? Throughout the year, we’ll explore what it means to receive God’s love and extend it to those around us.

First Day of Sunday School: Sunday, September 20

We will gather everyone, children and adults, in the Multipurpose Room at 10 am, meet the teachers, and walk to the rooms together. We also hope to share more info about our Christmas Pageant!

Children’s Choir

For elementary school age children. Begins Wednesday, October 7, 5:30–6:15pm, followed by dinner. Sign up to be posted in Church Center. Talk to music director Derek Tilton for more info.

Church Center

Church Center is a go-to hub for our calendar, sign ups, our church directory and more! Our communication will normally come to your email through Church Center. Find it on the Apple App Store or the Google Play Store.

Meet the Sunday School Teachers!

Heidi Bush is returning for a 4th year to teach ages 2-5 in the nursery. "I am excited to see friends and make some new ones this year! Our class is play-based with some music, stories, crafts, and free play.”

Laurie Nelson is beginning her 31st year teaching Sunday School. "For my Kindergarten and 1st graders, our story rug is a place to be with God, hear stories of God, and talk to God. I want them to know that God loves them, and their church people love and value them deeply."

Alison Blaser is back for her fourth year of teaching Sunday School. “I’m excited to keep growing in faith and fun with the first through fourth graders. We’ll explore the Bible through readings, stories, and crafts and learn how we can live out these lessons in our church and wider community.”

Jessie is returning for another exciting year co-teaching grades 2nd-5th with Allison. We plan to mix it up this year with a wide range of ages. We will tell stories, have discussions, do art/crafts and have a lot of fun. Can’t wait to get started!

Christine Shaw is returning for her 57th year of Sunday School. "I am delighted to have the opportunity to work with the children and families of Luther Memorial. I hope to foster their curiosity about the church and bible stories and encourage their participation in our worship."
